Raviolifest 2013 Details

Hello & welcome back folks.  Here is everything you need to know about Raviolifest 2013.
Start time:  We will be ready for folks to arrive about an hour before sundown.  So think like 7pm.  We'll try to sneak in a game of Werewolf which is just awesome.  Movies will start promptly when it's dark enough to see the movie well.  Raviolifest is BYOB... or BYO giant bottle of Sangria which is a little bit of a tradition.  If your beverage of choice is soda or water, you should bring soda or water.  The address of Raviolifest is 3112 George Street in Parma.  We will be in the back of the backyard.

1.  If you want a chance to sample a bunch of awesome summer beers, bring a 6 pack of your choice of summer beer.  The more unique the better.  We'll add them to the mix and have a summer beer sampling PARTY.  You will be drinking this tasty beer out of a solo cup unless you decide to bring a fancy mug.  Fancy mugs are welcome.  If you intend to drink more than 6 beers, please bring more than 6 beers.  Drinking six summer beers is not hard to do.

2. Bring a can of ravioli.  Or a Jar.  Jars are ok this year.  This is your price of admission.  But no fancy ravioli.  Preferably bring a can of Chef Boyardee.  If you're a couple, one LARGE can should suffice.  Bringing extra ravioli that is taking up space in your pantry is encouraged.  There will be 3 crock pots - regular, cheese, and "variety pack".  Doritoes are also welcome.  as are other chips.  But other chips will be lightly poopooed.  New Rule 2013:  Get a Raviolifest tattoo & you can eat whatever the hell you want.

3.  Coolers.  we will have a few coolers.  not many, and summer ales will take priority.  If "cold" is an important qualifier to your beverage of choice, bringing your own cooler is adviseable.  The likelihood that unused space in your cooler will be seized by eminent domain is VERY HIGH.

 4. Bring a comfortable chair.  There are non-comfortable chairs that will likely be available but they haven't been washed in a long time & might or might not be infested with spiders  if you choose to risk not bringing a chair.

5. Bug spray might be helpful.  Hasn't been much of an issue in the past and we'll try to have tiki torches or something but you never know.

MOVIES:
The movies, which were selected by popular vote, will play in the following order:

Birdemic - because the CGI birds are wonderful, the acting is even better, and the theme song?  The best yet.  If you watch the trailer make sure you watch it all the way through.  The good stuff doesn't start til halfway.



Our feature film of the night will be Basketcase, about a Siamese twin, separated a birth.  Now the little one lives in a basket & wants revenge on the doctor that did the thing.  Here's a teaser.



Finally, we'll watch Godmonster Of Indian Flats, who, we can only assume, loves hot dogs & really just wants to be your friend.

Feature Film of 2013!

If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, I offer you the feature film of 2013!  Raviolifest will be featuring "Basketcase" - a wonderful gem from 1982!  Watch, and you'll get a better feeling for what Raviolifest is all about.

Raviolifest T-Shirts are Here!

Hey there raviolifesters!  I'm so pleased to announce 2013's design for our t-shirts!  Allison Folger and her insanely creative mind have created the perfect logo for our festivities this year.  The shirt will be black beefy t-shirts, and will have the print below featuring our feature film monster escaping from a can of ravioli!  They'll be black shirts with white SCREEN PRINTING which will hold up to all of your ravioli-abuse & last super long.  All shirt orders MUST be in by August 3rd to ensure time for printing.  The cost is $12 per shirt & you can pay using the paypal link below, or by paying Dan, Matt or Allison directly.

Summerfest... is really just Raviolifest.

FYI folks, we've made an executive decision that summerfest will not be a separate & earlier event from Raviolifest.  (no burgers & hot dogs!)  Instead, we'll simply sample beers while we eat crazy raviolis!  (I mean... why fill up on other stuff when there are Raviolis to come??)

What is summerfest?  Simply bring a 6 pack of summer themed ale (the more unique, the better!) per person to Raviolifest and you'll get to sample the summer ales that everybody else brought too!  It's just a way to share great beer.  If you have a favorite beer-drinking cup (rather than a solo cup...) you might want to bring that too.

Raviolifest 2013!

Hey there Raviolifest folks!  Welcome to the website for the 14th annual Raviolifest!

What IS raviolifest you ask?  Only the greatest terrible movie fest of all time!  We will watch the worst movies you've ever seen while commenting throughout the entire thing.  Think of it like MST3k with a lot more people.  And tons of chef boyardee ravioli.

Raviolifest has officially been scheduled for August 10th, 2013!  We're taking it to a whole new level (turning it up to 11 folks!) because this year we're combining Raviolifest with Summerfest - a summer festival of summer beer sampling!

We're currently accepting submission for movie requests for this year's fest, so feel free to send them to Dan or Matt, or post them in the comments here on this page.  Youtube Trailers tend to get the best attention, so send em along, and we look forward to seeing you all at Raviolifest!
